Testing Facilities

The CTDUT has real scale installations and research laboratories for testing products and services used in the pipeline network. An infrastructure that offers – considering the high risk and cost of conducting tests on active pipelines – technical and economic advantages for suppliers and operators.

Our installations include a 14” Test Pipeline, a Cathodic Protection and Coating, 20” Riser and a Structural Integrity Laboratory. The latter, capable of conducting pipe pressure and equipment tests up to the rupture limit, in total safety.

A highlight is the construction of the 12-inch Testing Oil Pipeline, already initiated.

With 12-inch diameter and 2.5 kilometers long, it forms a closed circuit for PIG equipped with SCADA system. The terminal projected for the pipeline allows its operation with oil, by-products (04:17), water or multiphase flow composed of oil, water and nitrogen.
